The result is unyieldingly listenable, danceable and unique. Western music, West Texas fiddle tunes, Dixieland and New Orleans jazz, Big Band swing, urban and rural blues, Tin Pan, Alley pop, Spanish music, Jimmie Rodgers songs, polkas and more-these together formed Western Swing.
